Dry-eye glasses

Hello, I am Dr. Rika Shirakawa from University of Tokyo Hospital.

It’s getting colder in Tokyo, which means hard season for dry eye and MGD patients has begun.

Under dry conditions outside or decrease indoor humidity due to air conditioning, adjusting environments is the key to decrease the risk of dry eye.

Generally, I recommend the patients to place room moisturizer, avoid direct wind of air conditioner and use “dry-eye glasses” .

There are several companies producing dry-eye glasses and nowadays their designs are good.

I myself use dry-eye glasses when I work on the computers(JINS MOISTURE). We can also choose blue-light cut lenses, which make them high-performance for computer users.
